Kindergarten Books Sets (All Books - PreReaders and Readers) combines both reading sets used with the McRuffy Kindergarten Phonics & Reading Curriculum: 10 First Step Readers and 20 Kindergarten Readers, for a total of 30 books.
The 10 First Step Readers are short four-page books designed to give children an early, successful reading experience after only a few weeks of phonics instruction. Each book includes a word list on the back for practice before reading.
The 20 Kindergarten Readers are longer, more developed stories that reinforce weekly phonics concepts while building reading fluency and comprehension. These books range from 8 to 15 pages and are printed in color with cardstock covers.
Together, the two distinct sets provide a gradual transition from very short beginning books into longer connected reading.
